Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Good News! NO Waiting

Embrace the glorious mess
that you are
Elizabeth Gilbert

Good news!
YOU are a glorious mess
Embrace it now!
There is no need to wait

until you

Lose the weight

Love your hair

Figure it all out

Because

You are the person who has made it this far
with friends to cheer you on

and hopes
to light your way

and another day to fill
with all that you can imagine

and messy as this all may be

it's you

Wonderful, embraceable you

that is beautiful
and that's poetiquejustis
God has made us what we are. He has created us in Christ Jesus to live lives filled with good works that he has prepared for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10

Pacing Yourself

It does not matter how slowly you go
as long as you do not stop
Confucius

Set your own pace

Choose your own strides

Dance to your own tune

 But whatever you
However you do it
Keep moving forward

and you will arrive
and that's poetiquejustis

 “But as for you,
be strong
and do not give up,
for your work will be rewarded.”

2 Chronicles 15:7

Questioning: That's the Ticket!

The questions are more important
than the answers
Randy Pausche

Our questions speak volumes
about who we are

The answers only speak volumes
about what others know

Our questions guide out path

Design our day

Open our minds

Before you start looking for anwers
Make sure you are asking the right questions
 That's the answer
and that's poetiquejustis
But the people of Berea (who asked questions) were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica (who did not), and gladly listened to the message. They searched the Scriptures day by day to check up on the apostle Paul and Silas’ statements to see if they were really so.
Acts 17:11

Never Doubt It!

Doubt, of whatever kind,
can be ended by action.
Thomas Carlyle

Doubt you can do it?

Try!

Doubt you can make it?

Attempt it!

Doubt you are good enough?
Ask yourself 'good enough for who?'

Start acting like yourself
then see for yourself
 who you really are

All you have to lose
are your
and that's poetiquejustis
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power
 and love
and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7

All the Hills and Mountains

Great works are performed not by strength
but by perseverance
Samuel Johnson

I have  friends who seems to
find it necessary
to climb mountains
literally

I have other friends who seem to
find it necessary to climb mountains
figuratively

I am grateful for both
I have learned from both
I have learned because
 they persevere

Nelson Mandela said:

After climbing a great hill,
one only finds that there are many more hills to climb

We each have hills to climb
and paths to walk
May  we have the heart to find them

and the perseverance to climb them all
and that's poetiquejustis
Endurance produces character, and character produces hope.
Romans 5:4

Bank On It!

Good things happen
when you meet strangers
YoYo  Ma

Meet people!
Meet people halfway

Meet people where they are

Meet people where you live

Today,
don't only make a connection

or just a sale

Meet someone

We used to sing a song as kids
"make new friends
but keep the old

one is silver
and the other gold"
 Meet someone today
Maybe even someone
you thought you knew
Good things will happen
You can bank on it!
and that's poetiquejustis

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:  If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Reading By the Light at the End of The Tunnel

Our main business is not to see
what lies dimly at a distance
but to do what lies
clearly at hand
Thomas Carlyle

I was talking with an executive
who is involved in
yet more rounds of planning sessions
at his manufacturing company

He sighed and said
"we plan and we plan
but we never do".

Planning is good

But eventually, you have to get out on the field
and run some plays
I have a friend who actually calls his planning guide his "playbook"

Let me put it this way:
I can plan the menu for the next week

but if I do not get in to the kitchen today

no one eats tonight

It seems we can be so busy
trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel

That we forget to
use the light
we have
To do the things that need to be done

today
And doing the things
that need to be done today
is a plan!
and that's poetiquejustis
Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity,
but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.
Proverbs 21:5
