Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Color in certain places has the great value of making the outlines and structural planes
seem more energetic.
Antonio Gaudi
There are days when you can feel that you are fading
Simply blending in to the background of life
and other people's agendas
A dot on life's illustrated version
Refuse to fade!
 Leave the shadows behind
Find your place in the sun
Find your light
and shine
and that's poetiquejustis
And God said: Let there be light, and there was light.
Genesis 1:3

Men can starve from a lack of self realization
as much as they can starve from a lack of bread.
Richard Wright

The soul hungers

The mind becomes gaunt

The spirit withers away

Unless you take the time to nourish your whole being

The best nourishment to do that?

When you realize that that what matters
is making certain others
have what they need.

And that's poetiquejustis

In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, He called his disciples to him and said to them, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way. And some of them have come from far away.” Mark 8:1-3

Men can starve from a lack of self-realization as much as they can from a lack of bread.

Hard to Beat...

It's hard to beat a person who never gives up
Babe Ruth
The only real defeat is self defeat
The moment when you say "it's over"
"I am done"
"I quit"
It does not matter what the referee says
In your heart, you are the only one than can call the game off
And if you do not
You may have lost in the eyes of the world,
But you and I know that you are just resting up for your next turn at bat
and that's poetiquejustis
Every athlete exercises self-control in all things.
They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
I Corinthians 9:25

The necessities

If we do what is necessary, all the odds are in our favor.
 Charles Buxton

I have a lot to do, so I have been thinking about doing what is necessary

It comes from the Latin neccesarious:  unavoidable, indispensable

But what makes it "unavoidable, indispensable"?
How do you define "necessary"?

Doing what is necessary to pay the bills?
Doing what is necessary to get the job done?
 To live a balanced life?
Is all that necessary?
Oh, dear...I believe it is.....
Winston Churchill said:
"It is no use saying, 'We are doing our best.'
You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary".

Living life well....seems it is a necessity
and that's poetiquejustis

But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. I Corinthians 14:40

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement
Helen Keller
Opti...a prefix meaning sight or vision
Optimism....to dwell upon the most hopeful aspect
Optimistic...to expect the best possible outcome
and that is poetiquejustis
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
 Romans 12:12

Everything in its place

If we will be quiet and ready enough
we will find compensation
in every disappointment
                                                       H. D. Thoreau
                                        "When the dog bites
                                     when the bee stings...."
When life seems to be going nowhere
Be very still and just listen

                                           And you will hear
                                              everything start
                                                to fall in to place
                                             and that's poetiquejustis

And we know that for those who love
God all things work together for good,
for those who are called according to his purpose.
                                               Romans 8:2

In search of my mother's garden, I found my own
Alice Walker
I could never hope to understand
how my mother's life garden grew
Thanks to her, my advantages and worldview
were quite different than that girl born in Brooklyn

A search for a garden of my own
A garden of thoughts
A garden of hopes
A garden of dreams
A garden of happily ever afters
And a garden of  things that were more wonderful
than I could believe
A garden  of my own
Planted with seeds from those who went before
To leave to those who will follow
That is how a garden grows from generation to generation
and that is poetiquejustis
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11
