Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Putting it all in Motion

In art, the hand can never execute anything higher than the heart can imagine
R W Emerson

Being alive only takes the functions of physiology

Living is an art

It takes skill

It takes passion

it takes color and light feeding your soul

Life takes all the heart you can put in its hands

Even if you think you are only going through the motions

Make those motions count
and then
make them art

And that's poetiquejustis

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90:12

A Perfectly Good Day

There is no shortage of good days
Annie Dillard

"Bon jour!"

"Have a

"Enjoy your day!"

"Buenos dias! "

If you are going to say it-
Believe it!

And while you are at it
 have yourself one!

I mean....
Why waste a perfectly good day?
and that's poetiquejustis

This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
118:24

Movin' Right Along

Baseball is like driving, it's the one who gets home safely that counts.
Tommy Lasorda

Life's about the traveling

Going near or going far

In fact, life can be a great deal like

Traveling in your car

Do you have drive

or are you driven?

Do you have fuel or are you stalled

Is your trip about the livin'

Or about all the  troubles you  have hauled?

Is your life about the scenery

Or things you left behind

Are you driving toward peace and happiness

Or being driven out of your mind?

So here's to all our travels

and the roads, and curves and bends

Use your signals

Fill the tires

and always travel with your friends

and that's poetiquejustis

You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
Deuteronomy 28:6

The Number of Days

How we spend our days
is of course how we spend our lives
Annie Dillard

                                                                         Time is a gift

Not to be spent on the  trivial and the contrived
Those meaningless projects whose only purpose is self-perpetuation.

The inconsequential

that never reaches for that which truly matters

To quote Alice:

Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
The Cat: Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.
Alice: How do you know I'm mad?
The Cat: You must be. Or you wouldn't have come here.

That is a real possibility
and that's poetiquejustis
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Fancy That!

To give reason for fancy were to weigh the fire, and measure the wind.
John Lyly

The phrase "to fancy" entered our vocabulary in the middle 15th century deriving from the Middle English word "fantasie', borrowed from the old french fantasie and before that the Latin phantasia meaning imagination

What do you fancy?
What makes your eyes shine
And your heart sing
Your soul soar?
When you are window shopping in life
what do you fancy?

What makes you leap in to the day
And keep moving forward?

What do you fancy?
I hope the list is very long because those are the places
where you touch the heart of life
  And it touches you
and that's poetiquejustis
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good...
Luke 6:45

Let The Pie Fly

Bread cast upon the waters is much more nourishing and wholesome
than pie in the sky
Melvin Jones.
Maybe...but what if you give that pie a chance to fly?
Dreaming big dreams!
Making even bigger plans!

Taking even BIGGER action

Because no idea is half baked if you put enough YOU in to the recipe.
Then, throw that pie up in to the sky
And give it some wings!
and that's poetiquejustis
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for
and certain of what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1
