Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

How life really works

Be kind whenever possible
It is always possible
Dalai Lama
Bend a little- and you will rise
Give a little- and you will gain
Lose a little- and you will find far more
Put yourself out and you will draw others in
That is how life really works
and that's poetiquejustis

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.
Luke 6:35

Wishful Thinking

There would not be a sky full of stars
if we were all meant to wish
on the same one
Frances Clark
You wish for the ice cream
I'll wish for the cone
You wish for the tea cup
I'll wish for the scone
You wish for the sunshine
I'll wish for the moon
And if we all wish for peace on earth
We may have it soon
and that's poetiquejustis
How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity
Psalm 133:1

The Harvest

An open home, an open heart
Here grows a bountiful harvest
Judy Hand

To plant the seeds of acceptance

To share the earth and  grow together

To produce the fruits of freedom

that is worth being thankful for
and that's poetiquejustis

We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
Romans 12:5

Unbeatable

It's hard to beat a person who never gives up
Babe Ruth
The only real defeat is self defeat
The moment when you say "it's over"
"I am done"
"I quit"
It does not matter what the referee says
In your heart, you are the only one than can call the game off
And if you do not
You may have lost in the eyes of the world,
But you and I know that you are just resting up for your next turn at bat
and that's poetiquejustis
Every athlete exercises self-control in all things.
They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
I Corinthians 9:2

What the Dickens?

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
Charles Dickens

 Poverty has many faces

Some are poor in spirit

Others are out of hope

Some just have very few options

and these lives are not just another story

They are your opportunities
to be more than you are by helping someone else

be more than they think they are
Go!

Help someone see it is never too late
to begin again
and that's poetiquejustis
He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord
and He will reward him for what he has done. Proverbs 19:17

Working It Outward

One person working toward a dream is worth 99 people just working.
- Lani Kraus, writer

To feed the hungry

To shelter the homeless

To protect the unprotected

To make the world a better place because you were here

Dreams for the taking

and help to make it work

And that's poetiquejustis
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

Sticky

Consider the postage stamp:
its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there.
~Josh Billings

You can lose your keys

You can lose your way

You can lose your focus

You can lose your appetite

But whatever you do -
do not lose heart!
that's right...it is all about hanging in there!

and that's poetiquejustis
