Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Virtuosity

Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues but the parent of all the others.
Marcus Tullius Cicero

Some days are just better than others

Some days make you want to sing
Some days make you want to run for cover
We learn from the good days

And we learn from the not-so-good days
And maybe we remember that our worst days are good

compared to what others may have coming at them

Give thanks a chance to do its work in your life
And that's poetiquejustis
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17

Bear With Me

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.
Martin Luther King Jr.

The sun is going to shine again.

You will find another job, you'll see.

You DO have another book in you!

Dis-appointment just means that you are at the right place
at the wrong time.

Keep asking

Keep dreaming

and never give up hope

and that's poetiquejustis

Oh, that I might have my request, that God would grant what I hope for
Job 6:8

The Rest of Life

Besides the noble art of getting things done,
there is a nobler art of leaving things undone
Lin Yutang

How many sunsets will you let go by

How many moments in front of the fire will you miss

How many laughs

How many dreams

How many moments

Will you let slip away

while you are busy doing other things
Today

Stop being busy long enough

To get something important

                                                                           done

                                                               and that's poetiquejustis

Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word.  But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.” But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things;  but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

Awakened!

It is best to be up before daybreak
for such habits contribute to
health, wealth, and wisdom
Aristotle

I am not much of a night owl

But I am up before the birds

There is something about finding the world

before the world has a chance to find me

To hear the soft breath of dawn
and the promise of the rising sun

it is a time to gather thoughts

Before the winds of life blow them away

Meister Eckhart said
“Be willing to be a beginner every single morning.”

So let's begin
and that's poetiquejustis
The night is almost gone, and the day is near Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. - See more at: http://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/Morning#sthash.9P8AJhDZ.dpuf
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
Mark 1:35

It's Your Turn

A bend in the road is not the end of the road
unless you fail to make the turn
Unknown Author

What looks like a dead end
is really
New beginnings
Road blocks?
Just a detour
End of the road?
Start of a new life
 Go...
Make the turn

and that's poetiquejustis
This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls....."
Jeremiah 6:16

In The Eye of the Flower

With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony,
and the deep power of joy,
we see into the life of things.
William Wordsworth
The flowers are watching
I just know they are
They really do not miss a thing
Sometimes, I even think they cry over our human tragedies and foibles
and I am certain that they laugh at our worrying so much!
 Flowers know how to live
They greet the dawn with joy
and they fear nothing from the night
Hiding in plain sight,
They spend the time they were given on earth
teaching us how to live
If only we will listen
and that's poetiquejustis
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? "
Matthew 6:28

When the Light Breaks Through

Light is the symbol of truth
James Russell Lowell

Day-break  in a city

day-break in the forest

Day-break in soul

When the light of day breaks forths

That which has kept the world in darkness must let go

Today- let the day-break in to your life
and the darkness will let go
and that's poetiquejustis

I have come in to the world as Light so that no one who believes in Me should stay in darkness.
John 12: 46
