Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Tenderly

Tenderness is the repose of passion
Joseph Joubert
Hold lightly that which you love

Give it room to grow
To put down roots
To seek the light
To find its way to the heavens
Your thoughts
Your dreams
Your very being
By all means hold them
But hold them tenderly
Remembering also not to crush the dreams of others
and then you and they will grow together
and that is poetiquejustis
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32

Prolific, Terrific, Specific

Nothing becomes dynamic until it becomes specific
Doug Fields
Generalities
Vague ideas
Atmospheric pastries floating by
 Add those all up
 and you have
To be terrific
and that's poetiquejustis
Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.
Proverbs 4:25

Signs of Life

You will do foolish things
but do them with enthusiasm
Colette
There are days when
You will order the fish and chips
instead of the salad
Do it with gusto
There are times when
You will stay up all night
reading a new novel
Don't regret a minute of it
In this life
You will love the wrong person
Wear the wrong shoes

Say the wrong thing
Do you know what that all means?
It means you are living!
and that's poetiquejustis

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

No Task Too Small

"Each small task of everyday is part of the total harmony of the universe."
~ St. Theresa of Lisieux

Theresa would have understood those words better than most

She came from a family of French lace makers
Not the lace that is driven out by machine by the yard

 But Alencon lace

Where each stitch told a story
and was part of the whole

Lace that was the product of body, mind and spirit, reflecting nature

Tiny, tiny threads that joined together

to become part of life
and love
and whimsy

Today, each  thread you join to the universe-

no matter how small you think it is- will help to make the pattern

"Lace is as much about the space between the threads
as it is about the threads themselves."Lori Howe
and that's poetiquejustis
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

A Very Fine Thing

Knowledge is a fine thing
Moliere

Very true

Knowledge IS a fine thing
the seeds of learning are planted there
and

Wisdom is a finer thing
because that unlocks what is hidden in the knowledge
and

Compassion is even a finer thing

and
wisdom with compassion is the finest thing of all
because that is where
the mind and the heart
have become a soul

and that's poetiquejustis
"Do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.”
Zechariah 7:10

Humor Me

Humor is the instinct for taking pain playfully
Max Eastman
Every day, we all deal with people
who just do not know how to laugh it off
People who can turn a bowl of cold cereal
In to a three act play
or a simple problem
in to a drama of Greek tragedy proportion
And then they manage to cast themselves in the role of both
victim
and hero
while making certain they
everyone within a thirty mile radius
You aren't like that, are you?
I didn't think so
That's why I like you
And that's poetiquejustis
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Matthew 5:9
