Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Within Your Grasp- Beyond Your Reaach

"The slender threads that move us forward"
Sue Bender
The whispers
The fleeting thought
The impression
These are the things that move our lives forward
These are the things that our heart reaches for
These are the things that are real

Don't let them slip away
and that's poetiquejustis
"Be still, and know that I am God"
Psalm 46:10

The Charted Course

Let him who would enjoy a good future waste none of his present
Roger Babson
Look ahead
But no too far
Chart your course
But do not lose your way in the moment
Embrace tomorrow
By living well today
and that's poetiquejustis
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything;
you may have an abundance for every good deed

One Place at a Time

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known
Sharon Begley

We are all headed somewhere today

Some of us will be in a hurry

Some of will be dragging our feet
Some of us will only move along in our minds

But today, we are all headed somewhere

And we will not be the same person tomorrow that we are today

Carol King asked us why nobody stays on one place any more

Good question
Why is so much the world built to move?

Rivers flow

Tides go in and out

Birds take flight with the seasons

It seems we too are  built for the journey

and perhaps to help someone along the way

Because everyone is going somewhere today.
and that's poetiquejustis

In the way of righteousness there is life;
along that path is immortality
Proverbs 12:28

Think it over

The strongest principle of growth lies in human choice
George Eliot

To grow
When you choose to grow
is it to grow in power?

or simply in wealth?

or only to gain  knowledge?

Or will you choose the better
The real
The lasting

 and grow in your humanity

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr earned the right to say:

An individual has not started living until he can rise above
the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns
to the broader concerns of all humanity.

You may not be able to reach out to millions today

But you can reach the person next door

or in the next office
That is being human
and that's poetiquejustis
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2

The Heights

No bird soars too high
if he soars with his own wings
William Blake

Go ahead!
Soar

Flutter

Be focused

Go for it!

Just make sure you know
your wings
 Know who you are
and then you will know how to "fly"

and that's poetiquejustis
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles
Isaiah 40:31

Sit This One Out

I don't think you can write novels on the road.

Leonard Cohen

 Life on the run

Life on a merry-go-round

Life  always

A traveling circus

It can happen even if you stay in one place

A peaceful life begins in the heart

Moves to the head

And lands you on your feet

And from there, the sky is the limit.

And that's poetiquejustis

Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him.

Colossians 2:27

Make Them Count

The talent is in the choices.
Robert De Niro

There are things you cannot choose

Your height

Where you were born

Forget about those things

Make the choices you can

Make them well and make them count
Stop wasting talent on what you cannot change
and use your talent
to make the choices
that make a change
and that's poetiquejustis
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another,
as good stewards of God's varied grace
1 Peter 4:10
