Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

The Art of the Best

Economy is the art of making the most of life
George Bernard Shaw
It is not always about what you can stretch
Or what you can pinch
Or even what you can hang on to
no...sometimes it is about what you are willing to hug
What you are happy to hold
and even what you choose to let go
That is the art
That is the gift
and that's poetiquejustis
Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17

A Little Evidence of Living

It has long been an axiom of mine that the little things are infinitely the most important.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
A single rose
A friendly smile
Someone to walk with you
That extra mile
A setting sun
An ice cream cone
Feeling that you are not alone
After the glitter and the glamor chatter
You know it is the little things that really matter
and that's poetiquejustis
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:33

You Know What You Know

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
Dr. Seuss

What to do...what to do.....
It can all get very confusing
As though just living was not enough
There is always all that CHOOSING

Where to live!
                       Where to work!

What to have for dinner!

What to read, what to wear

so you can be a winner!
 It's under your hat!
It's in your head

Just keep in mind what Dr Seuss said:

You're on your own, and you know what you know.
And you are the One who'll decide where you want to go.

and that's poetiquejustis
The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps.
Proverbs 16:9

You Can Get There From Here

One cannot find peace in work or pleasure; in the world or in a convent; but only in one's soul
William Somerset Maugham

You cannot buy it on iTunes

You cannot fly there from here

You cannot marry it,

 date it,

journal it

or bake it

Peace....simply is

if you allow it to be
and that's poetiquejustis
"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

Live It All

“Do not now seek the answers which cannot be given you
because you would not be able to live them
and the point is
to live everything.
Live the questions now….”
Rainer Maria Rilke

There are a few great things about getting older

One is not having to have all the answers

The other is just enjoying the questions

I always want to have more questions than answers

More plans than completions

More tickets to ride than journey's ends

The point, as Rilke said,
is to live everything
one piece at a time
that is something that I do not question
and that's poetiquejustis

Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Proverbs 3:7

In This Moment

There are some things you learn best in calm and some in storm
Willa Cather

In the quiet moments

In the lonely moments

In times of fear

In times of courage

In times of hope

In times of despair

Above all else

May we learn to be wise

and that's poetiquejustis
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
James 3:17

Come Dance With Me

My heart beats in three-quarter time
Eric Kandel

Always a little ahead of ourselves

Step one two
Step one two

 The waltz of life

Circling the room

Lightly held in the arms of fate

Step one two
Step one two

The music of the moment flowing through you

Propelling you in ever widening
Ever decreasing circles

 Step one two
Step one two

Waiting for the dance to begin

Or to end

Forgetting for the moment

That you are the dancer and the dance
And that's poetiquejustis

And David danced before the Lord with all his might.
2 Samuel 6:14
