I still need to browse the shelves and touch the bindings


So many things in our lives are going digital!

Even colleagues are 'Linkedin' 

rather than meeting
It almost makes you nostalgic for those Chamber of Commerce Networking events
Almost....
Me?

I work from home, so for me the world is becoming very virtual
But I am going to keep pushing away from the computer
and keep growing that library
of books and friends 
you know-  life beyond the virtual

But they are not seasonal


There are always plenty of people ready to tell you

what to do

how to do it

not to do it

Makes you wonder where they get all the time-


Until you realize
They are not doing anything themselves

That game is over!

Some of my favorite Christmas stories come from the book
The Christmas Store
One of the stories is about a very buttoned up gentleman
who lives an very non-experimental life.

                                           By chance encounter with someone's planner
(he works in the Lost and Found department)
He finds himself prompted daily to try something new

Little things that are big stretches for him
(read it...you will like it)

I read it every year
then take pen in hand to write one new "adventure"
for each day in December

I have found
That the big changes come
when you are taking small steps along the way
