Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Are You In?

The time of the singing bird is come
Song of Solomon
It is time
Change is coming
New things are happening
Be a part of it
and that's poetiquejustis
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun!

Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
Isaiah 43:19

Ideally

Ideas have come from the strangest places.
Joyce Carol Oates
They fly in from nowhere.
They leap out of darkness
They fall from the sky
They show up at your door
Ideas.

Be
for them.
Joseph Chilton Pierce said:
"We live in a web of ideas- a fabric of our own making."
And yours become stronger and beautiful with every idea
you add.
and that's poetiquejustis
I will sing a new song to You, O God
Psalm 144:9

How virtual is your reality?

Augmented reality...
I have enough trouble with the real thing these days

without seeing life through a pair of goggles

Am I going to be the only one left on this side of reality?

I admit it is tempting to retreat

but I have the feeling
that we can do more good

in reality
and that's poetiquejustis

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

Muddled

We sit in the mud... and reach for the stars.
Ivan Turgenev
When life seems like a   muddle
And the waters have been muddied
by the words that people say and things they do

When your boots seemed stuck and mired

And you really are quite tired

From the muddle that seems like life to you

Grab that mud and make some mud pies

Leave your footprints
Make a disguise

Take the muddle and build a stairway to the sky!
and that's poetiquejustis
I waited patiently for the LORD;
He turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
He set my feet on a rock
Psalm 40:1-2

The Artwork of Life

Without naivete, there is no beauty
Diderot
We can learn so much from the artwork of kids
They take colors in hand and consider the empty page their own
They fill it with abandon and with freedom and without thought for technique
or critics
They simply put life as they see it on paper
Today, your life is before you
Color it real!
Color it yours!
and that's poetiquejustis
The greatest in the Kingdom of heaven is the one who humbles himself and becomes like this child.
 Matthew 18:4

Splash It On

To affect the quality of the day
That is the highest of the arts
Henry David Thoreau
I envy my grandkids
I hand them a drawing pad, or a clean art canvas
And without thought or pretense they fill it
With life, and color, and glee
I want to do the same thing with every day they are given
but to often
I stare at the blank canvas
and ponder
and ponder
so cautious...so concerned about how it will look....
and often put it all away without a mark
happy that I have not made a mess of it!
Sadly, that is a cautionary tale for life as well
Thoreau said that the world is but a canvas to our imagination
Why take a day- a perfectly good "canvas" of time
and simply try to get through it
without making any mistakes?
Today is a new day
a new canvas!
I too can fill this day with life, and color and glee!
Imagine that!
and that's poetiquejustis
This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

Adjust

Be patient in all things but chiefly with yourself.
Francis de Sales

It is a long journey

Pace yourself

No one likes a nag

And your mind is no different

Chart your course

Raise your sails

Adjust

Then sail on at peace with yourself
and that's poetiquejustis
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
1 Corinthians 13:4
