Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

The Highs and Lows of Friendships

The language of friendship is not words but meanings.
Henry David Thoreau
We lived in an apartment when we moved back to California
I liked it!
People who live in apartments make special kind of friends
Those people you share a moment with
on your way to your car or heading home at the end of the day
In the brief journey between floors,
during the daily ups and downs
you  make  elevator friends
You share a laugh, a sigh, and the name of your favorite pizza place
you know...."elevator friends"
It always reminded me of the friends you have who see you through the highs and lows
The ups and downs in life
You know- elevator friends
and that's poetiquejustis!
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
Romans 12:15

A World of Words

Books

More than just the key to knowledge

They are the armchair travelers ticket to everywhere

They are the peace in the chaos

The friend you have always hoped to find

Books in binding

Books that you can hear

Books that you can read in the dark

Books that give life

To quote from a favorite author:

There are words waiting beyond your news app
Just waiting for you to find them

and that's poetiquejustis

They read from the book, from the law of God,
translating to give the sense so that they understood the reading.
Nehemiah 8:8

Take Time to Heal

Healing is a moral thing to do.
Jay Inslee

Heal:from the Old English  hælan " to cure; save; make whole, sound and well"

People need to heal

Countries need heal

 Hearts need to heal
Memories need to heal
Healing takes time
Peter Seller once said:
Let us learn to appreciate there will be times when the trees
will be bare,

and look forward to the time when we may pick the fruit
 Healing takes time
Take some...it is free
and that's poetiquejustis
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven
Ecclesiastes 3:1

Pity Leaves the Party

To pity distress is but human; to relieve it is Godlike.
Horace Mann

There seems to be a lot of distress in the world these days

Even our jeans are distressed!

I am over it!

The sun is still shining

The waves are still rolling to shore

Morning coffee is still a delight

I am heading for higher ground

And I want to take as many people with me
as I can
 and that's poetiquejustis

You will keep in perfect peace
    those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord himself is the Rock eternal.
Isaiah 26:3-4

"In my distress, I called to the LORD, and he answered me.

One Little Hope

A whole stack of memories never equals one little hope
Charles M. Schulz
Marvin Hamlisch called them
"misty water colored memories
of the way we were. "
Memories -
good
and bad
Have only one thing in common
They dwell in the past
And hope never visits there.
Hope, my friend,
is in the here and now.
That is worth remembering
and that's poetiquejustis
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11

I Don't Need Anymore

I thrive on nothingness
Andrew Wyeth
So much
so much
so much that fills the air
and the ear
and the eyes
so much
too much
I need a bit of nothing, please
 just for today
I need nothingness
and that's poetiquejustis
It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Lamentations 3:26
