Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Indeed

Small deeds done are better than great deeds planned
Peter Marshall

Plant one flower

if you cannot plant a field
and you will learn how to grow

Hum a few notes

If you cannot sing a cantata
and your heart will learn to sing

Enjoy the moment

Because moments add up to a life

Little things
are big things
if you do them

and that's poetiquejustis
"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much"
Luke 16:10

Just a Little Extra

We may as well try to make ourselves extraordinary
Sir Francis Bacon

Simple

Extra-ordinary

Simple

Extra-ordinary

Simple

Extra-ordinary

Sometimes, life just needs you to add
a little color here and there
to make it all

and that's poetiquejustis
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
John 10:10

Get the Lead Out

A #2 pencil and a dream
can take you anywhere.
Joyce Meyer

The lowly pencil...
Anonymous among its brethren
Are like the very good people we meet along the way

They are there for the big tests in life
Ready to give us another chance
Always happy to help us learn
Or just while away the hours
Pencils...like a very good friend
Always seem to get the point
and never think you are dull
We may find more elegant tools

But remember the  #1 lesson from the lowly #2 pencil

And that's poetiquejustis
I will never leave you nor forsake you
Hebrews 13

How The Day Begins

Peace begins with a smile
Mother Teresa
Daylight begins with the sun

Evening begins with the stars
and everything else that is good
begins with a
Like a street lamp in the fog
or a light in the window
You never know
what your smile can mean
to the weary traveler
on this journey of life
and that's poetiquejustis
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future
Proverbs 31:25

The End of the Beginnings

Gratitude makes sense of our past
brings peace for today
and creates vision for tomorrow
Melody Beattie
There are times when patience
is not my strong suit
Red lights

Books that do not know when to end

these things bother me
But they also can teach me a lesson
This morning
I was frustrated at how long
it was taking the water dispenser on my refrigerator
to fill my glass
Then I thought about these ladies
and these ladies
and these ladies
and I thought better of it
and that's poetiquejustis
Give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
I Thessalonians 5:18

Just Be There

I learn by going to where
I have to go
Theodore Roethke
We do the things we have to do
We say the things we have to say
We do the work that needs to be done
We delight in the small things
We overlook the slights
And we help those who need help
We are....in a word
human
and that's poetiquejustis

Learn to do right; seek justice.
                                                        Defend the oppressed.
                                                   Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow.

                                                                   Isaiah 1:17

Expectations

Life is largely a matter of expectation
Horace

I expect the sun to shine

Even if only the clouds can see it

When the seas of life are stormy

I expect the waves that the waves are rolling gently to shore

Somewhere

I expect the day to bring joy

The night to bring peace

And the hours to bring opportunity

And I expect that I will be present to receive all of that

I expect the best of you and me

Whatever that looks like

and that's poetiquejustis

"Every day in a life fills the whole life with expectations and memory.”

C S Lewis
