Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

What is it worth?

An open home
an open heart
Here grows a bountiful harvest
Judy Hand
To plant the seeds of acceptance
To share the earth and  grow together
To produce the fruits of freedom
that is worth being thankful for
and that's poetiquejustis
We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
Romans 12:5

But Wait! There's More!

I think life has a little more to give
Samuel Johnson
More than food
More than drink
More than work
More than rest
Life has so much more to give
And you have so much more
to give
to life
Go! Give! Live!
and that's poetiquejustis
Bur seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness
and all of these things will be added to you
Matthew 6:33

Details. details, details....

The true secret of happiness
lies in taking a genuine interest
in all the details of  daily life
William Morris

My world is becoming smaller

But it is becoming more detailed

Some days it does not go beyond my yard

And there I find a universe
and peace

I find that the need be seen

Diminishes

And the need to see

Grows
 details, details, details
That is life

And that's poetiquejustis

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

Lights, action... Now what?

My life has a superb cast but I can't figure out the plot
 ~Ashleigh Brilliant
My life has been blessed with
some of the most brilliant
talented
people in the world
But I still spend half my time

Trying to figure it all out
Anyone have a script?
for this three act play called life?
That's my question
and that's poetiquejustis

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Psalm 23:6

Just a miniute

People who are unhappy
have no need for anything in this world
but people capable of giving them attention
Simone Weil
The visitor who never comes
The bench that sees no old friends
The traditions that are no longer shared
the kid whose only playmates are animated
Got a minute?
Share it.
and that's poetiquejustis
Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Sail On

Bad memories can attach themselves
like barnacles to the hull of our life
Richard Paul Evans
The Mistletoe Promise
They come when you least expect them
As you are falling asleep
As you stare thoughtfully in to a cup of cappucino
The memories
like clips from a film noir
Where do they come from
Why now, when everything else is calm
Perhaps that is why they come
- because the sea of your soul
is calm enough for you to hear them
and they must be heard
But you....you can sail on now
and leave them in your wake
and that's poetiquejustis
"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind."
Isaiah 65:17

It Iis the Cat's Meow

He who has a why to live
can bear almost any how
Nietzsche
I have to admit,
there are days
when my only motivation
for getting up
is that the cat
won't have it any other way
Then there are other days
where I find my purpose
in every blade of grass
There is a song in every tree
a poem in every task
But most days..
it is just the cat
whatever works...
and that works for me
and that's poetiquejustis
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90:12
