Singing a duet
Just some thoughts...
Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.
Today, I hope it is you.

A Garden of Grace
Gardening is an exercise
in optimism
Maria Schinz
You have to keep an eye on any garden
for weeds
and visitors
How much more so
The garden of you soul
Yank bitterness out by the roots!
Weed out the unkind thoughts
Leave the rest to grow
in the sunshine of your smile
and that's poetiquejustis
And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden
in the cool of the day
Genesis 3:8

A Wonder-us Strategy
Always be on the lookout for the presence of wonder
E B White
My, how we can take it all for granted!
We see the flower
But miss the wonder that may lie within
We may embrace the sun rise
But do we seize the wonder of the day?
We feel the rain and know its melody
But do we let it cleanse our soul
with the wonder of its promise?
and when we make our plans
Do we box ourselves in
or hope to widen our vision?
Come to your senses!
and leave a little room
for wonder
And that’s poetiquejustis
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform
you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will
learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and
perfect.

Making a Splash
Some people walk in the rain
Others just get wet
Roger Miller
Throw cold water on our dreams?
WE...
Make a splash!
Let it rain!
soak it up!
soak it in!
wring every last drop out of life
and then dance
between the raindrops
and that's poetiquejustis
In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in
heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good,
and he
sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.
Matthew 5:45

Triumph!
Always seek out the seed of triumph
in every adversity
Og Mandino
The world may be dark
but you have kept a flame in your heart
that the world can never overcome
but you have held on to the truth
no matter what the cost
no matter what the cost
You, my friend,
that pass wisdom
from age to age
You are real
You are true
You are my hero
and that's poetiquejustis
and that's poetiquejustis
For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?
Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
I Corinthians 6:14

A Footnote to (your) History
Live out your imagination
not your history
Arthur Bryan
History is great
Some of my favorite people can be found there
It's a nice place to visit
But it is not a place to live
Living takes place in your today
You are not who you were
and the world is not what it was
so
And that's poetiquejustis
Don’t ask,
“Why were things better in the old days than they are now?”
It isn’t wisdom that leads you to ask this!
Ecclesiastes 7:10
