Leave the door open for hope

It gets kind of dark out there sometimes
And we just want to lock ourselves away
No more hurt
No more pain
And there are times when pulling the covers up over our heads
is not a bad idea
But eventually, the sun will shine if you let it
And the days will be bright if you choose them
And hope will light your way
If you only let it in
