They fill photo albums
And memory banks
And long winter nights
The big memories are the ones you share
But it is the little moments of life that I love
The ones that no one else can see or feel
Moments that seem to float around you as elusive and as real as a shimmering bubble
They are there and gone in an instant
And you never know when they will happen
You take a sip of coffee and for an instant you are back on a cobblestone street in Vienna
That brush of wind across your cheek and for an instant
you are on the beach of a long ago summer
You hear the strains of song and for an instant you are once more sharing "that dance"
Just for an instant,
you are who you were then,
where you were then,
and you understand it all
Just for an instant
and that's poetiquejustis
