Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Always seek out the seed of triumph
in every adversity
Og Mandino

The world may be dark

but you have kept a flame in your heart
that the world can never overcome

The earth may groan
But even so

a song fills your soul

False words may fall around you

but you have held on to the truth
no matter what the cost

You, my friend,
are like the manuscripts of old
that pass wisdom
from age to age

You are real
You are true
You are my hero
and that's poetiquejustis

For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?
Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
I Corinthians 6:14

A Footnote to (your) History

Live out your imagination
not your history
Arthur Bryan

History is great

Some of my favorite people can be found there

It's a nice place to visit

But it is not a place to live

Living takes place in your today

You are not who you were
and the world is not what it was

And that's poetiquejustis

Don’t ask,
“Why were things better in the old days than they are now?”
It isn’t wisdom that leads you to ask this!
Ecclesiastes 7:10

Beneath the Veneer

Betrayal is the only truth that sticks
Arthur Miller

No one likes to be betrayed

It hurts

But so does anything
that removes the bad

Betrayal scrapes away the veneer

Once those who betray you are gone
What is left are the things (and the people)
who are real
And with them are all you were before
and all you will ever be
Those that betray you?
I wouldn't worry about them...
and that's poetiquejustis
Wounds from a sincere friend are better
than many kisses from an enemy.
Proverbs 27:6

Growth itself
contains the germ of happiness
Pearl S Buck

Push away

whatever is holding you down!

Struggle against

that which is keeping you in darkness!

Be brave and break through

Whatever is hiding the light

Now face the sun
and grow!

That is what you were made for
and that's poetiquejustis
Look how the wild flowers grow: they don't work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that not even King Solomon with all his wealth had clothes as beautiful as one of these flowers. Luke 12: 27-28

Those who matter

The one thing I know
is that you win with good people
Don Shula

You do not need an army

to win in this life

you just need to choose

the right people

to believe in

and who believe in you
and that's poetiquejustis
Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad.
Proverbs 12:25

Just a note...

I would rather be remembered by a song
than by a victory
Alexander Smith

I want to sing a song
that will cheer your heart

When friends betray

When hopes delay

When you  find that the one  you walked way from

is you

I want to sing a song to help you see
that you are free

and that you have always

 held the key

I want to sing that song
to you

and to you

 and to you
and that's poetiquejustis

He put a new song in my heart, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in Him.
Psalm 40:3

There is little than can withstand a man
who can conquer himself.
Louis XIV

Those who are weak
use what little strength they have
to be cruel

Those who are strong

use their strength for good
That is strength of character
That is strength of mind
and that's poetiquejustis
No weapon forged against you will prevail... This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.
Isaiah 54:17
