Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Take the Time- It's Yours

You have to take time to live
living takes time
Eleanor McMillan Brown
Take time in to your own hands
Do not let it take you
Do not let others take it from you
You can give your time
You can share your time
But make sure you take some time
before you run out of time
For you
and that's poetiquejustis
Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow.
Psalm 144:4

All Consuming

My life is very much consumed with work
Ryan Kwanten
Shall that be the fruit of OUR labor?
simply watching work peel away the years?
Or shall we work at being consumed by life?
Shall we take little bites of life now and then?
Or shall we consume life to the core?
shall we leave it whole and untouched
as we work our hearts out?
Or shall we put our heart in to life
  and see how that works?
and that's poetiquejustis
You will know them by their fruits
Matthew 7:16

Prep Time is Over

Man is born to live
not to prepare for life
Boris Pasternak
Planning to plan your plans
Lists of things you will start tomorrow
or Monday
or Someday
Would you say it was time to start living?
I would
and that's poetiquejustis
He who observes the wind will not sow,
and he who regards the clouds will not reap.
Ecclesiastes 11:4

The Very Best Day

"I'm saving that to use for company"
My Grandmother
My grandmother had many pretty things
That people rarely saw
She was "saving them for guests."
But she never had any guests
Except us
But we were family, so I guess that did not count
When she passed away, all those pretty plates, and linens were still packed away

Waiting for guests
 Tell me-
What are you "saving for company"?
I mean....
What in your life are you waiting for just the right moment
to say or do or use?
I think today would be the very best day
and I think Grandma would agree
                                                  and that's poetiquejustis

Make the most of your chances to tell others the Good News.
                                                         Colossians 4:5

So Good!

Monday Monday...so good to me
The Mamas and the Papas
I have to be honest about this
I am writing this on a Friday
But Monday is something you have to sneak up on
Build up a head of steam
Make room for the rainbows and clear out the clouds
It is never too early to get ready for Monday!
And it is never too Monday to get on with life!
and that's poetiquejustis

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
Psalm 143:8

Realistically Speaking

leaves a lot
to the imagination
John Lennon
You have to begin somewhere today
and reality is a good place to start
Reality is only
a starting point
It is the place
where you begin
to  build your dreams
A place from which you can see
Find your reality
and then move on
and that's poetiquejustis
Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you.
Proverbs 4:25

Time Enough to Smile

Anger dwells only in the bosom of fools
Albert Einstein
We all get angry once in a while
It is a response- a secondary emotion
But most of us discard it and get back to living
                                                                 But there are those
who wear their anger at everything
like a badge of honor
Anger that in most cases comes
clearly out of ignorance
  of facts
Because facts do not matter
What matters is keeping that bonfire of anger stoked
Stephen Hawking said:
People will not have time for you
if you are always angry and complaining
He sure had that right
and that's poetiquejustis
Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.
James 1:20
