Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Starting Now

Start where you stand
Napoleon Hill
This is it
This is where  today begins
and yesterday ends
-Right now-
This is where you are who you are
and it is from here
this very spot

that you will begin to seek
whoever you are going to be
and do all the things you are going to do
right here
right now
Isn't that amazing?
and that's poetiquejustis

I am holding you by your right hand - I, the Lord your God - and I say to you, don't be afraid; I am here to help you.
Isaiah 41:13

The Rain or the Rainbow

You'll never find a rainbow if you're looking down
Charlie Chaplin
For some
It is simply raining
For others
Life is making rainbows
Today
You decide
will you only see the rain
or will you be the rainbow?
 and that's poetiquejustis
I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
Genesis 9:13

A Full Heart

Faith came singing into my room
And other guests took flight
Grief, anxiety, fear, and gloom
Sped out into the night
Mrs. E.  Cheney, Poet
Your heart can only hold so much
So make it count

Clear away the pain
Leave the shadows behind
Make room for faith, and hope and love

and light
and that's poetiquejustis

 Jesus turned and saw her.
“Take heart, daughter,” He said, “your faith has healed you.”
And the woman was healed at that moment.
Matthew 9:22

The Grass is Already Greener

The grass is always greener
where you water it
Neil Barringham
The room that holds the odd things you care for
The friend that stays in touch
The book that you read and re-read and re-read
The sweater you grab when you are feeling sick
The chair that knows how to be quiet with you
I wish you many splashes!
and that is poetiquejustis
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11

To See The Good

What is art but a way of seeing
Saul Bellow
 To see the good*
To hear the melody **
To taste the sweetness ***
To feel the power****
of love
Life becomes art
when people care
about other people
Can you see that?
and that's poetiquejustis

To Make Your Soul Soar

To give reason for fancy were to weigh the fire, and measure the wind.
John Lyly
What do you fancy?
What makes your eyes shine
And your heart sing
And your soul soar?
When you are window shopping in life
what do you fancy?
What makes you leap in to the day
And keep moving forward?
What do you fancy?
I hope the list is very long because those are the places
where you touch the heart of life
and that's poetiquejustis
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good...
Luke 6:45

Sole Purpose

If the shoe fits it is probably worn out.
Craig Bruce
Out of sync?
Out of step?
Out of date?

That's ok
Just keep stepping!
And don't let anything stop you.
And that's poetiquejustis
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7

Quitting's not an option

It is always too early to quit
Norman Vincent Peale
Imagine what your world would be
If you did all the things you are talking about doing
Having adventures instead of idea
Making progress instead of excuses
Where would you be if you headed down the road ahead
Instead of frantically looking for detours?
So tell me...
Where will you be tomorrow
If you just get it done today?
Ralph Marston said:
What you do today can improve your tomorrow.
and that's poetiquejustis
“Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning."
Luke 12:35
