Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Take it with you

If we cannot find tranquility in ourselves,
it is useless to seek it elsewhere
Francois De La Rochefoucald

A day at the beach helps

A week in the mountain refreshes

A stroll at sunset

Greeting the dawn

all moments in time
of tranquility

Tranquility
can be for a moment

Or it can follow you

wherever you go

Wordsworth said
 poetry is simply

a recollection of tranquility

May all your tomorrows be days
when you can recall yesterday
as a day of tranquility
and that's poetiquejustis
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27

The Latest and Greatest

Time is a dressmaker
specializing in alterations
Faith Baldwin

Time changes everything

from fences

To faces

But those things you do for others

Those things you do out of kindness
for your fellow man

over time

age well

and that's poetiquejustis
 Bear one each others burdens,
and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2

Going My Way?

The road to success
is always under construction
Lily Tomlin

Just when you get ready to hit the road to success

You start seeing signs
and you think they all mean

Not so!
It just means
you have some work ahead of you!

 Sure-
There are things that may slow you down

But when you are on the road to success
*
Everything is useful

Like knowing when to give others the "right of way"

Or just learning to share the road
Remember:
Not every sign along the road to success means "STOP"

So, when you hit a bump

just put your best foot forward

and enjoy those you meet along the way
Because you are all headed
in the same direction
and that's poetiquejustis

As they were going along the road, someone said to Him,
"I will follow You wherever You go." –

Luke 9:7

The Wait and the Journey

He than can have patience
can have what he will
Benjamin Franklin

The work you do
to get to what you want

is the journey you have before you

and you have no way of knowing
if the things you do

the people you see

the places you go

along the way

may not be far more important

than the end you want
to achieve

St Augustine said
Patience is the companion of wisdom

Keep doing what you know you have to do
until you get where you want to go

and be patient
until you get there

that's how it gets done
and that's poetiquejustis

When he arrived and saw
what the grace of God had done,
he was glad and encouraged them all
to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.
Acts 11:23

Best Practices

Practice yourself in the little things
and thence proceed to greater
Epictetus

Every marathon runner

First just went out for a walk

Every great orator

started out by just saying 'hello"
to someone

 Take the first steps

Say the first words

Today

and that's poetiquejustis
Not that I have already attained this--that is, I have not already been perfected--but I strive to lay hold of that
for which Christ Jesus also laid hold of me.
Philippians 3:12

Roped In

What worries you
masters you
Haddon K Robinson

Worry is like a lasso

It seeks you out

It chases you down

It ropes you in

And before you know it

You cannot move

Today
Send worry

riding off

in to the sunset

 alone
and that's poetiquejustis

"No one can serve two masters."
Matthew 6:24
