Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Sing It Out

There is delight in singing, though none hear beside the singer
Walter Savage Landor
Singing alone
Singing a  duet
in a choir
Out on a limb
It does not matter!
If you have a dream
live it!
and if you have a song- sing it
Somewhere, inside of all of  us
we all have a dream and we all have a song!
and that's poetiquejustis
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.
Psalm 40:3

Put it on pause

You can never get a cup of tea large enough
or a book long enough
to suit me
C S Lewis
It is that wonderful time of the year

The sigh between Christmas
and the New Year

The moment when all is done

And nothing is quite ready to begin

A time when slippers are the footwear of choice
and the fireside is the 'destination'

So, have some tea

Open a book

(put away your phone)

The busy will be back
soon enough

and that's poetiquejustis
The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you,
and I will give you rest."
Exodus 33:14

Solutions!

Believe that for every problem there is a solution
Norman Vincent Peale

For every cloud there may not be a rainbow

For every dream there may not be a dream come true

But to every moment there is something you can offer

And that something is the you that is YOU

and that's poetiquejustis
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11

Sprinting toward 2021

I love it, I love it- and who shall chide me
for loving that old armchair
Eliza Cook

We are closing in on the New Year

We are poised for the sprint

We are gearing up for the dash

We are resolved

We are renewed

We are...exhausted!

Where did we ever get the idea
that we could make rational decisions about the coming year
while we are still de-toxing from
Christmas overload not to mention the drama of 2020?

Sit....dream...gather your thoughts
Find a friendly chair

and give yourself a moment
 and that's poetiquejustis
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

You Are The One To Get the Job Done

All discomfort comes from suppressing your true identity
Bryant McGill

Who are you?
 Well- that depends.....

You are whoever you need to be

to get the job done

You are whoever you want to be

To help someone else on their way

You are the best of winners

You are the best of losers

You are all that you can be

when you are being who you are.
to get done what needs to be done
today
and that's poetiquejustis

For the eyes of the Lord search back and forth across the whole earth, looking for people whose hearts are perfect toward him, so that he can show his great power in helping them.
2 Chronicles 16:9

Simplicity Itself

'There is something simple and good
in all this.'
Cherringham-  Matthew Costello

Remember when facts did not need to be checked

And truth did not need to be re-defined?
When we were not afraid to open the paper

Or talk to a friend about current affairs

Seems to me, things were a lot
kinder

simpler

and friendly

not that long ago.

I say we  find it-
walk away from the darkness
                                                                    In to the light

It is that simple
and that's poetiquejustis

                                                              Seek peace and pursue it.
Psalm 34:14

Home for Christmas

Home is our little corner of eternity
A. Stoddard

Be it ever so humble.....

Be it ever so grand

If we greet Christmas  on Main Street

Or in some foreign land

May out shelter remind us

wherever we roam

The place that our Savior that morning called Home

and that's poetiquejustis

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Luke 2:11-12
