Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Have a Little Faith

 This too shall pass.
Medieval Proverb

Hold on

This cannot last forever

Here is how it is

there are times when

you are going to have a little faith

because

this too shall pass.
Really.
and that's poetiquejustis

This time the dove returned to him in the evening with a fresh olive leaf in its beak. Then Noah knew that the floodwaters were almost gone.
Genesis 8:11

Use Your Words

What happens to me when I'm provoked is that I get tongue-tied and my mind goes blank.
Kathleen in You've Got Mail

Ah... how I envy Kathleen
Blessedly at  a loss for words!

When I am provoked, my mind fills up

like a lagoon at high tide,
leaving only little islands of higher ground to which I wish I would flee!
When am I going to get it?

If someone throws a line
and you take the bait
 you are cooked!

But let it go by...maybe even throw in a kind word
and you both live to swim another day
and that's poetiquejustis
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
1 Corinthians 13:5

With All Your Heart

It is up to each of us to contribute something wonderful to this world
Nora Neale Houston

Whatever you have to give

give it with all your heart

your art

your song

your encouragement

your words

so...
when life passes the hat

contribute

and that's poetiquejustis
In the same way, let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

Life in Motion

An object at rest tends to stay at rest
and an object in motion tends to stay in motion
Sir Isaac Newton

There is motion

And there is motion

And there is stopping
And there is knowing when the race is done
the real wisdom comes
is knowing the difference
and that's poetiquejustis
An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.

Nice to Meet Me

It has never been natural for me to deviate from the facts of anything before me

Norman Rockwell

Look me in the eye

Stand before me- toe to toe

Put out your hand and give me a shake

Now that wasn't so bad, was it?

Hello...I am who you have been

afraid to be

I am what you never thought you could do

I am what you never made time for
I am who you never thought you had in you.

Well.... here I am
Been here all the time
Just waiting for you
and now that we have met-
let's go live some life together!

Einstein said:
Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them.
Limits?
Accepted.
Now- go!
and that's poetiquejustis

Well done, good and faithful servant.
You have been faithful in a few things
I will put you in charge of many.
Matthew 25:23

Your Day in History

Live out your imagination
not your history
Arthur Bryan
History is great
Some of my favorite people can be found there
It's a nice place to visit
But it is not a place to live
Living takes place in your today
You are not who you were
and the world is not what it was
so
And that's poetiquejustis
Don’t ask,
“Why were things better in the old days than they are now?”
It isn’t wisdom that leads you to ask this!
Ecclesiastes 7:10

A Sense of City

I have never found salvation in nature. I love cities above all.

Michelangelo

I am an unabashed city girl

I love the energy

The stories

The imagination that went into its creation

The possibilities around each corner

The pockets of green

Tucked into the garments of concrete

 Ian Seed said

"The city disappears street by street as you enter it."

It become neighborhoods

 People

 It becomes

You

And that's poetiquejustis

Work for the good of the city where I have placed you and pray to the Lord for that city. When it prospers, you will also prosper.

Jeremiah 29
