Today You Have Enough

 People want riches; they need fulfillment.

 I met a man recently who had a great job

A beautiful home

And a happy marriage

But he told me candidly that he did not feel fulfilled

I hear that a lot from people

Could it be that we just do not know what fulfillment is

And we do not want to recognize it when we have it?

Could it be that we have "fulfillment"mixed up with fame and fortune

And that mysterious "potential" we are all supposed to be reaching?

Washington Irving said:

Nothing is enough for the man to whom enough is too little.

 

 Had enough of never having enough?

Today, allow yourself to feel fulfilled
because then you will realize that you are
and that is only the beginning

Road Trip

The readiness is all

Why does it happen to some people in a more orderly fashion than others?

There is no escaping it-

It is planning.

If not for the next five years

Know where you want to be

Know what you have to do to get where you want to be

The Legend of the Grump

I forgot to shake hands and be friendly.

 It was an important lesson about leadership.

There is a man I would see when I went walking

He was probably in his 80's

and a bit of a grump

For one solid year,

My dog and I  said hello and smiled whenever we saw him

No response

But we would not give up

He grumped right by us every day 

And we just kept giving him a big hello

(or a friendly wag in my dog's case) 

The other day,

 he just gave up

 he smiled!

He said good morning!

It felt like Christmas!

I believe that inside every grump

there is a smile waiting to come out
