Living never wore one out so much as the effort not to live

Just Another Fish Story

Time is but a stream

 that I go a fishing in

The years as water pass by

I choose to stop along the way and cast my line to fate

Hand to Hand, Heart to Heart

 I saw a shadow touch a shadow's hand

I saw an older couple walking down the street holding hands

There was such a connection

memories passing through the touch of one hand to another

Without a word

Just holding hands

Kids holding hands,

sharing  all that is new

Without a word....just holding hands and understanding

Hopes that pass from one hand to another

Strength that is given to the  hand that is held for the very first time

Holding hands keeps you from drifting away

Today

Hold someone's hand

Even if it is your own

Until you find

A Friend

And decide what it will look like when you see it from tomorrw

How did you touch the day- and how did the day touch you?

The moments of life- large and small

 

What did you make of it?

If you touch it- you shape it

and it is part of you forever

So, what are you going to make of life

today?
