Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

All Together Now

The important work
of moving the world forward
does not wait to be done
by perfect men
George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans)
They say it takes a village
I say it takes you
And me
And anyone else ready to show up
And do the work
That's how it gets done
And that's poetiquejustis
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. James 1:27

Without Reason

To give reason for fancy were to weigh the fire, and measure the wind.
John Lyly
What do you fancy?
What makes your eyes shine
And your heart sing
And your soul soar?
When you are window shopping in life
what do you fancy?

What makes you leap in to the day
And keep moving forward?

What do you fancy?
I hope the list is very long because those are the places
where you touch the heart of life

and that's poetiquejustis
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good...
Luke 6:45

Put a (Rain) bow on it

The rainbow comes and goes
William Wordsworth
There are times when the clouds in your heart seem so close
that you can touch them
And there are other times when you carry the very sun within you
How do you live between the raindrops and keep the rainbow in your life?
You remember that you are your rainbow!

You are the promise of a brand new day
You are your sunshine
and that's poetiquejustis

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
                                                            Genesis 9:13

True Value

For changes to be of any true value
they have to be lasting and constant
Tony Robbins
Everyone likes to make big, life changing decisions
How many times have you"decided" you are going to
exercise?
Eat right?
Write an essay?
Save money?
and every time you find yourself very quickly back at
Maybe it is time to stop just making decisions
and start making some progress
Do what you say you are going to do
for as long as you have to do it
to get done what you told yourself
that you are going to do
and that's poetiquejustis

And let perseverance have its full effect
that you may be perfect and complete
James 1:4

Think to Thank

No duty is greater than that of returning thanks
St Ambrose
Thank you
Grazie
Gracias

спасибо (spasibo)

 Asante

  Merci

  Now didn't that feel good?

and that's poetiquejustis

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,

to which indeed you were called in one body.

And be thankful.

Colossians 3:15

Stay the Course

Stay the course and see the beauty of life unfold for you.
Jeffrey R. Holland

Every inch of life's highway is not going to be lovely

There will be litter

There will be potholes

There will be gridlock

But if you have set your course

Recall the words of Dale Carnegie:
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people

who kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all
 And that's poetiquejusis

You are blessed when you stay on course
walking steadily on the road revealed by God.
Psalm 119:1

Lightening Up

There is a huge emotional component to weight loss
Carnie Wilson
OK...let's be clear
You are on your own for the extra pounds
This  is a plan for the heavy heart
Ready?
Get rid of all those things that are weighing you down!
Throw away the anger
choose a diet of forgiveness
And cut out the regret

Replace it with a steady diet of peace
Stop trying to race to the top of some silly, meaningless ladder
and consume yourself with the needs of others
Then, you will find yourself lighter by the moment
Because not only is this a diet that is heart healthy,
but one that is fit for life.
And that's poetiquejustis
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil.
              Psalm 37:8
