Being Me

“All of us have schnozzles . . . if not in our faces, then in our character, minds or habits. When we admit our schnozzles, instead of defending them, we begin to laugh, and the world laughs with us."

Jimmy Durante

When I was a kid, my nose was much too large for my face

OK..not quite that bad...but you get the idea.

I did not know it, however-

Until kids started pointing it out

"the nose knows" was one of the more creative lines I heard

Eventually, I had it "fixed" and I am kind of sorry now that I did

I feel that I betrayed myself and who I was

But....it made my dad from whom I inherited that nose- feel better

Now, my teeth seem to have gone a bit crooked on me

Hooray!  A second chance to be who I am

and that's poetiquejustis

Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.

Psalm 119:73

Making the Daily Delightful

The reinvention of daily life means marching off the end of the map.

Bob Black

Take the detour

Swim the moat

Choose the narrow path

Fight through the fog

"

Earl Nightingale said:

All you need is the plan, the road map and
the courage to press on to your destination.

That's what makes the daily delightful
                                                                   and that's poetiquejustis

For I know the plans I have for you,"
                                                         declares the LORD,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future."

Enter

Trust in dreams for in them is the gate to eternity.

Kahlil Gibran

Forgotten dreams

Hidden by worry

Obscured by doubt

Beyond reach

Or are they simply waiting for you

to unlock your heart

To all of your possibilities?

You hold the key.

And that's poetiquejustis

Swing wide the city gates—the righteous gates!
I’ll walk right through and thank God!
This Temple Gate belongs to God,
so the victors can enter and praise.

Psalm 118

It Is Not What It Was

Live out your imagination

not your history

Arthur Bryan

History is great place to  visit

Some of my favorite people can be found there

It's a nice place to visit

But it is not a place to live

Living takes place in your today

You are not who you were

and the world is not what it was

so

And that's poetiquejustis

Don’t ask,

“Why were things better in the old days than they are now?”

It isn’t wisdom that leads you to ask this!

Ecclesiastes 7:10

Quietly ambitious

There's no shame in enjoying a quiet life.

Daniel Radcliffe

Living a quiet life is not as easy as it sounds

 Chaos calls from everywhere

And urgency is tyranny

It is a world where something is always breaking

When the world invites you to the chaos

  Refocus

so you will have  peace to share with others

Because that is what we all need right now

                                                             and thanks poetiquejustis

Make it your ambition to live a quiet life

I Thessalonians 4:11

Growing on Purpose

I am here for a purpose, and that purpose is to grow into a mountain,

not to shrink to a grain of sand.

Og Mandino

You will not shrink back

and disappear in to the sands of time

You were created by the same God who made the wonders of the sea!

The One who made the eagle to soar

That same Creator would not have made you to be a grain of sand

to be blown about by the winds of change

Purpose in your heart to do all you were meant to do

And what is that?

Living a life having and giving peace, love, and joy

and that is poetiquejustis

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. — Romans 8:28

Turn Ahead

A bend in the road is not the end of the road

unless you fail to make the turn

Unknown Author

What looks like a dead end

is really

New beginnings

Road blocks?

Just a detour

End of the road?

Start of a new life

 Go...

Make the turn

and that's poetiquejustis

This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls....."

Jeremiah 6:16
