Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

Hark!

"God Bless us- everyone"
A Christmas Carol

The angels are singing

The sky is alight

The Hope of the world

Was born Christmas night
Our hearts hear their music
There is so much to tell
Our lives changed forever

God with us-
 Emmanuel

And that's poetiquejustis
wishing you a blessed and happy Christmas

Boundaries?

Nothing on earth is more gladdening than knowing we must roll up our sleeves
and move back the boundaries of human possibilities once more
Annie Dillard
Today is Christmas Eve- for many the eve of Hope among us
But for some- hope seems as distant as the stars
So...every Christmas Eve, our son and a few dozen of his closest friends
Go to a section of the city where the lost and the homeless live
And they turn it in to a Winter Wonderland
They bring food, and gifts, and music and hope
They roll up their sleeves and turn the darkest of corners
In to the brightest of scenes
Eventually,
The food is eaten
Dreams are shared
but what perhaps stays behind
is a bit of hope
that will grow and grow and grow
breaking the boundaries of human possibilities
once more
for us all
and that's poetiquejustis
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,
so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Romans 15:13

Simmering

To me, if life boils down to one thing,
it's movement.
To live is to keep moving.
Jerry Seinfeld

Filling up your life with stuff
is not enough

If you want to get things moving
in life

You have to turn up the heat
Not too much
Just enough to get things moving
and that's poetiquejustis
For in Him we live and move and have our being.
Acts 17:28

Hitting the Heights

Happiness makes up in height
what it lacks in length
Robert Frost
If happiness seems very far away
you just might need to go out and find it
Look high!
Look low!
But wherever you go
happiness is where
YOU find it
and that's poetiquejustis
PS  Take a friend along for the ride

He that handles a matter wisely shall find good: and whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he.
Proverbs 16:20

Biding My Time

Every person must bide their time
in constant, cheerful, steady endeavors.
H. W. Longfellow

Wrapping up your dreams for the days to come

Putting a bow on all that is ahead

Making that list of all that matters

and then promising yourself
that the gift that is you
is something you will share
with the world.
And that's poetiquejustis
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

Chatter

When words leave off
music begins
Heinrich Heine

Stop the chatter

And hear the song of life

Stop the noise

And hear the sounds of heaven

Stop the words

And let the truth be heard

Silence is the gift of nature

and that's poetiquejustis
Be still and know that I am God
Psalm 46:10

Making Room for Christmas Miracles

"I will honor Christmas in my heart and keep it all the year"
Charles Dickens
The Spirit of Christmas takes a lot of heart room
...nope... that will never do...
You need room for the wrappings and the trappings
The egg nog and the toys
For the magical and miraculous
For little girls and boys
You need space for the less fortunate
And for trees that look so sad
So if you will let your heart grow big enough
This will be the best Christmas season you ever had!
And that's poetiquejustis
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he
Proverbs 23:7
