Baby boomers from around the world reconnecting

Old flames

                                                                               and

People you hardly remember

Once they were "there" in your past

And now they are "here" on your computer screen!

But how did they get from there to here?

Ask them! 

 I did recently and learned a friend had found his way from our high school graduation 

to today 

through working in Algeria

another has found her calling in the equestrian life

another as a well loved teacher

Ask your friends where they have been all your life!

- you are going to get some great answers

as you brighten your day and theirs

Get Your Wish

 

Be as you wish to seem.

We spend half of our life trying to figure out who we are

And then the other half trying to be someone else

 

Why not decide who you want to be

 Learn how to be that person

And be that person everyday?

You want the truth?

Truth is when deeds and actions are the same.

So live the truth

Yearn to Learn

I need to learn every day

I have a watch that tells me

what I ate, how many

steps I walk 

and even how well I slept

 It got me thinking...

We count our calories

We take care to sleep

We may even hit the road a bit

But do we keep track each day

of what we learned?

 

Churchill said he was always ready to learn

though now always happy about being taught

I read a line in a Dick Francis book once that stuck with me

"All around her was an island of peace."

What does the "island" around you look like?

Is it cluttered with the fruit of bitterness?

or the fruit of love and kindness for the picking?

Littered with angry thoughts and memories?

or have you captured the glow of happy memories?

Overgrown with fear and suspicion?

or a place of order and calm?

What messages are you sending from the island of your life?

When people sail near, 

do they fear the rocky shores 

or are they grateful for the safe haven?

It is your island

Make it a peaceful place to dwell  and visit

a place of comfort for yourself and others
