Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

There is a Hobbit in the House

“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit.
Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole,
filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell,
nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole
with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat:
it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”
J R R  Tolkien
The Hobbit

I used to live in a house  where
you could seat 50 comfortably
for a dinner dance

Including orchestra

in the master suite

Now....my house is better suited for a Hobbit

I am learning to adjust to Hobbit-like living

You only keep the things you love

Like the husband, and the odd pet or two

And you find little nooks and crannies
in which to live a larger life
You realize that 7 sets of dishes
may be 6 too many

And that all cosmetics ever made
need not be in your beauty repertoire

You finally decide that your high school physical science notes
will probably never "come in handy"
You do nothing as simple as simplifying

You ...
Hobbitfy
So, until we meet again:

“Farewell," they cried, "Wherever you fare till your eyries receive you at the journey's end!" That is the polite thing to say among eagles.

"May the wind under your wings bear you where the sun sails and the moon walks," answered Gandalf, who knew the correct reply.”

and that's poetiquejustis

A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense.
Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.
