Where hope grows, miracles blossom
Elina Rae
We bought a home last year where the backyard
had been left to weeds, dust,
and a few generations of hearty squirrels
for over 40 years
That's it.
Nothing else
As my husband and I critically eyed the ground, we knew we wanted to see it bloom
So we dug in to the rocky, grainy soil, planted, and watered,
At the end of the first day, one side of the yard was covered in red and pink geraniums
and lot's of hope
and that hope kept us planting
under some very watchful eyes, I might add.
You know what we learned?
Sometimes, no matter how bad the landscape looks
a little work
and a lot of hope
can change it all
for everyone
and that's poetiquejustis
In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will
have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short.
