Today, thousands of teachers will head off to school
These are heroes in our midst
Today, thousands of servers will pour our morning coffee
and smile even though we barely say hello
These are heroes in our midst
There are small shopkeepers fighting the economy
to stay open
These are heroes in our midst
There are writers laboring alone
to keep the written word alive
These are heroes in our midst
Today, who is your hero?
Would you tell them?
Someone really should, you know....

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily
entangles.
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us
