Just some thoughts...
Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.
Today, I hope it is you.

Higher and Higher
Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations
Louisa May Alcott
Yes...
I see them
far away in the sunshine...
yet I seem to be bound to a desk...and work...and the petty worries
that masquerade as life
But my mind!
My soul!
My highest aspirations
Will never be bound by the gray of the day to day
and I will join them-
my highest aspirations
far away in the sunshine
and that's poetiquejustis

Keeping Pace
Be not afraid of going slowly; be afraid only of standing still.
- Chinese Proverb
- Chinese Proverb
Move with intention
so that you may meditate on the moment
Move with ease so that life may impart its grace
Move and keep on moving
but do not feel the need to run
Give life the respect of a steady pace
and it will pay you back with the journey of a lifetime
and that's poetiquejustis
In quietness and confidence is your strength.

Castles of My Mind
You make kingdoms and castles of your own
Stephan Jenkins
The ride to the beach was I was a kid in North Carolina
always seemed to take forever,
although it could not have been more than 30 minutes
always seemed to take forever,
although it could not have been more than 30 minutes
I would clutch the pail and shovel, reveling in the smell of Coppertone my mom had already doused me in
I was ready
I was prepared
I was going to build a sandcastle that would make the beach-goers murmur in awe
We would finally arrive and lug the chairs, baskets, blankets, cooler and the other beach necessities
down to the water's edge
down to the water's edge
Mom would finally nod and say "Go...have fun!"
And I would grab my pail and shovel and head for a vacant piece of sand- my real estate
The future home of my castle!
There was something I always forgot though.
I did not know how to build a sandcastle- at least not one that would make people ooo and ahh
nope..not a chance
I could do the dump the bucket variety ...big deal...
But there was one castle that usually turned out pretty well-
the dribble castle- and that was my fallback
That splendid granular edifice made of the dribs and drabs that oozed through your fingers
And I think it still is my fall back position!
I still do not seem to be able to build big castles in life that make people oo and ah
But we can all produce a darn good dribble castle with what we've got
so.."go- have fun!"
so.."go- have fun!"
and that's poetiquejustis
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.

Wondering at The Wonder of It All
A single event can awaken within us
a stranger totally unknown to us.
To live is to be slowly born.
Antoine de Saint Exupery
Have you ever wondered where the wonder has gone?
I have. Often.
I wonder if it is because we box ourselves in to the known
And we give ourselves no new wonders to wonder about
The wonders are still out there
We just have to go and find them!
SO....
Out of the box!
Out of the chair!
Go! And we are off to find the wonderful unknown!
We don't have to look very far!
Just by going the wondrous few inches of the universe just beyond our horizon
Can make all the difference
and that's poetiquejustis
He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.

On The Horizon
The future has a way of arriving unannounced
George Will
Almost there
I can see it
Just within reach
It has caught my eye
It has captured my imagination
It has asked to enter my life
It has now floated in to my past
It was my future
It is now my life
and I continue to seek
and that's poetiquejustis
The LORD will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58:11

You Know....
Do the things you know, and you shall learn the truth you need to know
Louisa May Alcott
Plant a seed
and you will find out what is held within
Open a book
and you will find what is waiting
Cast your bread upon the water
Your nets on to the sea
Your prayers unto the heavens
and you shall learn the truth you need to know.
and that's poetiquejustis
Be humbled by God's power so that when the right time comes He will honor you.
1 Peter 5:6
