Just some thoughts...

Every day, as I write Poetiquejustis, I pray it will be a blessing to someone.
Today, I hope it is you.

I Hope You Dance

I hope you dance
Lee Ann Womack
We decided to do an  outdoor scene to hear a friend's band
They were good!
Very good!
People were up and dancing!
But what caught my eye was the homeless woman on the edge of the crowd
Dancing, and singing, and pretending she was part of the party beyond the little fence (and the social gulf)
 that separated her
A lady in the crowd from Germany who did not know that Americans consider the homeless invisible
Brought the homeless woman a plastic cup with ice water and a straw
We all smiled at the German lady for what she did
Well- almost all of us....
You see, the cup made the homeless woman brave and she stepped inside the fence
But the bouncer- a man the size of Montana- "escorted" her out of the area and off the grounds
She could not dance any more
and after that
 neither could I
and that's poetiquejustis

“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’  Matthew 25:44-45
