Decision and Determination
are the engineer and the fireman
of our train to opportunity

We were picking up family at Union Station
and no one (including Amtrak) seemed to be certain of what time
the train would arrive
But it was heading down the track nonetheless
That train was not pondering when it would arrive
or even if it would arrive
or whether it should arrive
Decision and Determination
are running that train, and there is no stopping it now.
There may be obstacles
There may be rough weather
and the way may get a little narrow
But Decision and Determination
are going to keep that train running along the tracks
until they bring it on home
Because Decision and Determination know what matters is not when you arrive
What matters is that you keep on going until you get there.
