There are seasons in life that can make us all uncomfortable
An election, for example....
Elections don't just bring out a new crop (and sometimes a very old crop) of candidates
An election brings out the best in some
and the worst in others
An election season makes us look as a country at what we think about those in need
And sometimes we do what is right
and sometimes, we just sit safely behind our convictions and argue without doing anything about it
None of it is comfortable, and all of it gives us a pretty good reading on ourselves
There are so many things in life that can make us uncomfortable
Things we are asked to do that are new
Places we have to go that where we have never been
Situations that could use our help but mean that we have to stop our daily routine to reach out
Usually, it means that we are straying from the crowd , going our own way, being our own person.
Today, I hope we are all just a little bit uncomfortable, don't you?
