Our calendar is filled with appointments
Appointments with work
Appointments with friends
But the appointment that seems to keep showing up
even if it is never in your outlook
Is disappointment
You try so hard
You believe so strongly
You keep your hopes up and your head down
And still
There it is
Smack in the middle of your calendar
Disappointment
How did that get there?
You never made that appointment with disappointment!
Well, invite it in,
for goodness sake!
Do not leave it cooling its heels out there.....hanging around your life!
Have a chat
Have a cup of joe
Talk things over
And then politely, show disappointment to the door
